Squalor LLC

Technical software and automation for teams that need better tools.

Squalor LLC builds custom software, workflow automation, and data systems for teams that need to move faster with less friction. A major strength is RF test automation, device data collection, remote control of equipment, and measurement pipelines from capture to storage to analysis, but the work also extends to software architecture and organizational efficiency wherever better technical systems can improve how a team operates.

Where Squalor fits best

The best fit is usually a technical team that needs better software support than it currently has, especially when workflows are specific, fragmented, or under-served internally.

Technical teams with messy workflows

Especially useful where recurring work, data movement, or tooling friction is slowing engineers down.

Underserved internal groups

When larger organizations have fragmented tooling or one team falls outside the supported path, Squalor can fill the gap.

Specialized test and measurement work

RF, device testing, and measurement-heavy environments remain a strong specialty when that domain expertise matters.

Principal

Jon Robbins

Squalor LLC is led by Jon Robbins, a North Carolina–based engineer and technical leader with about 26 years of programming and contracting experience, including RF and semiconductor test work since 2006. That background covers measurement data pipelines, lab automation, internal engineering tools, hands-on systems, architecture, and team leadership—especially for groups that need senior software support without a large internal platform org.

Open source and side work

Useful software in public, local work in parallel.

Squalor publishes open-source projects and experiments, and also maintains a smaller local community effort under the DBA Squalor Farms for eggs and honey. The main business remains highly technical, but the company is intentionally personal and flexible in how it shows up.
